Christmas Gift

Jesus Christ was born to give us peace, joy, deliverance, hope in life. He came into this world to redeem us from sin and make us His own. Let us invite Jesus Christ, the divine indescribable gift into our hearts and show our love to Him. He shall fill us with peace that the world cannot give; shall do mighty things in our lives; be as the Everlasting Father Who shall love us to the end of our lives; shall counsel and guide us in life. Lord Jesus Christ shall bless us and make us a blessing to everyone.

Wishing you a Merry Christmas.

Christmas Quote

He who has not Christmas in his heart will never find it under a tree.

Kimi wins F1 driver championship

Kimi Raikkonen beat Alonso and Hamilton by a single point to win the driver's championship for the year 2007.
A great team effort and some car problem for Hamilton in the last race made it possible for the Iceman to win his first title. Many thought that his chance of winning the title this year was over when Hami took a huge lead over him halfway through the season. But, he made a great comeback.
This is what he had to say after he won the title "Even when we went through some difficult times and it looked as though there was no way to fight back, we never gave up and this work produced its reward today."

Well done Kimi

Are you a using a Nokia BL-5C battery?

Nokia is replacing 46 million BL-5C batteries manufactured by Matsushita Battery Co. between December 2005 and November 2006. These batteries could experience overheating due to a short circuit while charging, which can cause the battery to dislodge. Well, i just found the above information in Naveen's blog and since i am using a BL-5C battery, i just checked whether my battery is eligible to be replaced and found that my battery is one among that 46 million. I will be getting a replacement BL-5C battery for my mobile.

Paradox

Few centuries ago, a Law teacher came across a student who was willing to learn but was unable to pay the fees.

The student struck a deal saying, "I will pay your fee the day I win my first case in the court".

Teacher agreed and proceeded with the law course. When the course was finished and teacher started pestering the student to pay up the fee, the student reminded him of the deal and pushed days.

Fed up with this, the teacher decided to sue the student in the court of law and both of them decided to argue for themselves.

The teacher put forward his argument saying:
"If I win this case, as per the court of law, the student has to pay me as the case is about his non-payment of dues. And if I lose the case, student will still pay me because he would have won his first case. So either way I will have to get the money".

Equally brilliant student argued back saying:
"If I win the case, as per the court of law, I don't have to pay anything to the teacher as the case is about my non-payment of dues. And if I lose the case, I don't have to pay him because I haven't won my first case yet.. So either way, I am not going to pay the teacher anything".

This is one of the greatest paradoxes ever recorded in history.

Ride to Nandi hills

Last saturday I, Naveen, Karthik & Rohit went for a ride to nandi hills, almost 65 kms away from Bangalore. We started from Blr at around 6:30 in the morning and reached there by around 8. We went in three bikes. Naveen & Karthik in the Royal Enfield thunderbird, Rohit in his Honda unicorn and me in my Bajaj platina. Interestingly, this is the first time i took my bike for the weekend ride. The road was good and it was exciting to ride through the hair pins while going up the hill ( which my bike managed to do easily).

Once you reach there, you find Tippu Sultan's fort. Tippu Sultan constructed his fort here and used this place as his summer resting place. The climate was cool and as we reached the top, i found that there was nothing much except a temple and some good sceneries (and monkeys). If you are interested in photography and if you have a good camera, then you can go click around.

Riding down the hill was fun as we switched off the engine and were riding in neutral (except Rohit who was riding with his engine switched on). We reached Bangalore at around 12 noon.

Overall, it was a good experience. We enjoyed the ride, we enjoyed the climate, we enjoyed the place and were happy to know that nandi hills is a hill with a history behind.

Parable of the Pencil

The Pencil Maker took the pencil aside, just before putting him into the box.

"There are 5 things you need to know," he told the pencil, "Before I send you out into the world. Always remember them and never forget, and you will become the best pencil you can be."

"One: You will be able to do many great things, but only if you allow yourself to be held in Someone's hand."

"Two: You will experience a painful sharpening from time to time, but you'll need it to become a better pencil."

"Three: You will be able to correct any mistakes you might make."

"Four: The most important part of you will always be what's inside."

"And Five: On every surface you are used on, you must leave your mark. No matter what the condition, you must continue to write."

The pencil understood and promised to remember, and went into the box with purpose in its heart.

Now replacing the place of the pencil with you. Always remember them and never forget, and you will become the best person you can be.

One: You will be able to do many great things, but only if you allow yourself to be held in God's hand. And allow other human beings to access you for the many gifts you possess.

Two: You will experience a painful sharpening from time to time, by going through various problems in life, but you'll need it to become a stronger person.

Three: You will be able to correct any mistakes you might make.

Four: The most important part of you will always be what's on the inside.

And Five: On every surface you walk through, you must leave your mark. No matter what the situation, you must continue to do your duties.

For all Formula1 fans....

'F1' is not only just 'F1'

à F1 car is made up of 80,000 components, if it were assembled 99.9% correctly; it would still start the race with 80 things wrong!

À When an F1 driver hits the brakes on his car he experiences retardation or deceleration comparable to a regular car driving through a BRICK wall at 300kmph!!!

à F1 car can go from 0 to 160 kph AND back to 0 in FOUR seconds!!!!!!!

à F1 car engines last only for about 2 hours of racing mostly before blowing up on the other hand we expect our engines to last us for a decent 20yrs on an average and they quite faithfully DO....that's the extent to which the engines r pushed to perform...

à An average F1 driver looses about 4kgs of weight after just one race due to the prolonged exposure to high G forces and temperatures for little over an hour (Yeah that's right!!!)

à At 550kg a F1 car is less than half the weight of a Mini.

à To give you an idea of just how important aerodynamic design and added down force can be, small planes can take off at slower speeds than F1 cars travel on the track.

à Without aerodynamic down force, high-performance racing cars have sufficient power to produce wheel spin and loss of control at 160 kph. They usually race at over 300 kph.

à In a street course race like the Monaco grand prix, the down force provides enough suction to lift manhole covers. Before the race all of the manhole covers on the streets have to be welded down to prevent this from happening!

à The refuelers used in F1 can supply 12 liters of fuel per second. This means it would take just 4 seconds to fill the tank of an average 50 liter family car. They use the same refueling rigs used on US military helicopters today.

à TOP F1 pit crews can refuel and change tyres in around 3 seconds. It took me 8 sec to read above point

à Normal tyres last 60 000 - 100 000 km. Racing tyres are designed to last 90 - 120 km.

à A dry-weather F1 tyre reaches peak operating performance (best grip) when tread temperature is between 900C and 1200C.(Water boils at 100C remember) At top speed, F1 tyres rotate 50 times a second.

And that's not magic…. It's only the Power of Human Imagination…

Oh..no, that Kangaroo has kicked again...

Sunday morning, i got up, switched on the television set. I wanted to know who won the cricket world cup 2007.
Earlier i saw Australia setting a huge target for Sri lanka. I did not see the Sri lankan run chase. I was hoping against hope that Sri lanka would beat the Aussies.
I tuned to some news channel, only to find that the Aussies have won the world cup again. I did not want them to win this world cup.
They did beat Pakistan in 99 world cup final, beat India in 2003 wc final and now in 2007, they have beaten Sri Lanka.

Oh no, that Kangaroo has kicked again.....

Dont copy if u cant paste

Not too long ago, a large seminar was held for ministers and reverends in training. Among the facilitators were many well-known motivational speakers. One such speaker boldly approached the pulpit and gathering the entire crowd's attention, said, ' The best years of my life were spent in the arms of a woman who wasn't my wife!' The crowd was shocked. He followed up by saying, 'That woman was my mother!' The crowd burst into laughter and he gave his speech, which was well received.
About a week later, one of the ministers who had attended the seminar decided to use that joke in his sermon. As he shyly approached the pulpit one sunny Sunday, he tried to rehearse the joke in his head. It was a bit foggy to him. Getting to the microphone he said loudly, 'The greatest years of my life were spent in the arms of a woman who was not my wife!' His congregation sat shocked, murmuring. After standing there for almost 10 seconds trying to recall the second half of the joke, the pastor finally blurted out '...and I can't remember who she was!'

Moral of the story: Don't copy if you can't paste
